Being locked down in your house right now isn't a bad thing. You're safe and supplied with enough food through the day and your skin and hair can make the most of it. But after spending most of the time indoors, you might be wondering, "I'm staying home and not coming into contact with pollutants and day light and not even wearing makeup! So why does my skin look so dull?!"
To help you get healthy and glowing skin naturally, we asked our local skincare experts to share quarantine beauty tips to try at home. Try these DIY skincare tips at home and reclaim your former beauty glory.
Moisturize your skin
Most beauty experts agree that moisturizing reduces the chances of skin problems. So to keep your skin soft and healthy, you can use your favorite lotion or use some at-home staples such as olive oil, coconut oil, and honey. Honey acts as a natural moisturizer and contains natural hydrating humectants and has antimicrobial features. You can apply honey with cream(lotion) to your face twice/thrice a week to prevent the skin from becoming rough and dry. And for your hands, apply some olive oil to your hands and feet and then cover with socks and gloves for 20 minutes daily.
Wash your face
Even though you may not be exposed to the outside world, it’s still important to wash your face daily. In addition to this, you should steam your face at least three times a week. You can steam your face with the help of boiling water and a towel. This will open your pores and helps loosen any buildup of dirt for a deeper cleanse.
