When teens reach this stage of first love, they have loads of expectations and fantasies. They wish to find their one true love like they watch in romantic films or read in stories. Dealing with a teenager who is starting to date for the first time is quite tricky. Most of the time, parents impose restrictions which complicates the situation even more. However, if they set their children free without any supervision, they won’t be able to protect their teens from getting hurt or falling into danger. So, what should the parents do?

1. Acknowledge the situation
First and foremost, you must acknowledge the fact that your kid has grown up. They will have different needs and interests now, which you simply can’t suppress. The more you tell them what not to do, the more they would want to do those things. They would either fight with you, or worse, they will start lying.
